This lighthouse was built between 1851 and 1853. It is situated at 178 m above sea level on the Island of O Faro or the Middle Island (one of the islands that make up Cíes). The climb to reach it follows an undulating path and it can be quite challenging, but the views from the top are worth the effort. The lighthouse building was used as a residence until the 60s.
