Located at the Balaidos Football Stadium, the Celta de Vigo Foundation was launched as a major work to provide service to Galician societies through the development and promotion of all spheres of sport. Funding comes from partnership with several social agents prepared to contribute financially. The Sports Museum opened on 12 March 1999 and covers the entire history of Real Club Celta from its origins in 1923 to the present day. The museum has different rooms that show the club's history, the trophies won, commemorative plaques, pennants, photographs of different line-ups, achievements in basketball and athletics … all of which serve to remind us and provide us with a wealth of understanding about the achievements of Real Club Celta de Vigo.
