O tempo nesta zona

This site dates back to the former Pazo de Lavandeira in 1670. It was owned by the Tabares family until the 18th century, when it passed down to the Montenegros, and in the early 19th century it was inherited by María de los Milagros Elduayen, the 8th Marchioness of Valladares, who was married to Fernando Quiñones de León, Marquis of Alcedo. In 1924 it was donated to the city of Vigo on the condition that it was converted into a museum and a public park. The gardens were created in the Baroque French style and run perpendicular to the facade of the building, which allows visitors to see it at one glance. They were started in the 19th century and divided into six defined sections: the entrance garden, the rose garden, the French garden, the English garden (or ‘Tea Meadow’), the sunny area in the back and the forest.
