Scribe Joaquín Davila Mariño built the first bathhouse in the area in 1780, which underwent many restorations over the centuries. He named the establishment ‘Dávila Baths’ after his last name. It opened in 1923 and since then it has functioned as a spa hotel. It is an eclectic building with two floors and a noteworthy decorative facade. In 1998 the interior of the hotel was restored, taking the historic value of the building into account.
