Based on the 2017 Strategic Tourism Plan, the INFO RIASBAIXAS tourist office network was created with the aim of providing a comprehensive and uniform high-quality information service to tourists in the destination. Thus, in May 2018 the Regulatory Ordinance for creating the INFO RIASBAIXAS tourist office network was approved.
Subsequently, the Regulatory Ordinance for the management of the provincial network of INFO RIASBAIXAS tourist offices was approved in order to update and meet new needs (published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Pontevedra No 72 of 13 April 2022).
This ordinance regulates the needs and objectives of the Tourism Department of the Provincial Council of Pontevedra (Turismo Rías Baixas). Among them, to create a shared image and corporate culture of welcome in the Rías Baixas destination, to cover the current demands for information and to improve the information offices by certifying them with the Q mark, so that they can benefit from or be included in innovation or promotion projects of the Rías Baixas destination.
