The weather in this area

The municipality of Campo Lameiro is considered the rock art capital of Galicia. This small area of 64 km2 presents one of the largest concentrations of rock carvings not only in the Iberian Peninsula but also in Europe. Some of the best petroglyphs in Galicia are in Campo Lameiro, where stone carvings show scenes of the most prestigious activities of the Bronze Age: hunting and war. It has been declared a Historic-Artistic Site. Those wishing to learn more about rock art can visit the rest of the Rock Art Archaeological Park and view the motifs and patterns depicted on the rock surfaces. Natural and cultural heritage merge there to reveal the magic of Galician rock carvings in their natural environment
