This Romanesque ogival church has a fortress-like appearance. It dates from the 13th century and was considered a collegiate church between 1482 and 1850.
The nave and two aisles each have a rectangular apse. The nave has a similar Cistercian style as the monastery of Santa María de Oia. Two buttresses flank the doorway on the facade, which is composed of three pairs of columns, a simple tympanum and archivolts. The windows are Romanesque and the facade has a beautiful rose window, also in the Romanesque style.
Several different cruceiros (‘stone crosses’), which had been previously scattered on the streets, were moved to the atrium in 1841.
