The weather in this area

This museum is located by the ría (‘estuary’) of Arousa in Pontevedra, specifically in the parish of Corbillón in Cambados, between the ends of Tragove and Fefiñáns. It is called A Seca because the area is dry when the tide is low and fills again at high tide. The 50-metre long dam over the cove of Cambados uses the ebb and flow for its four grindstones. It used to grind around 200 kg of cereals per grindstone at low tide. The area was composed of a dam with five gates, a mill, a residence, stables and a shed. After it was restored, the mill was preserved as a museum to provide information about the cultural and popular heritage of the region of Rías Baixas.
