Quinteiro da Cruz is located in the parish of Lois, in the municipality of Ribadumia, in the heart of the O Salnés valley. The estate, currently known as Pazo Quinteiro da Cruz, has its origins in an 18th-century farmhouse.
The property preserves a variety of buildings and features of historical and ethnographic interest, including traditional stone granaries (hórreos), a chapel, dovecote, washhouse, porticoed outbuilding, traditional hearth (lareira) and winepress, as well as fountains, sundials and other ornamental features.
The property was acquired by the Piñeiro Lago family in the 1970s. From that period onwards, restoration, landscaping and botanical development work was undertaken, contributing to the estate's present-day appearance.
One of its main attractions is its gardens, which feature an outstanding collection of camellias and numerous species of botanical and ornamental interest. The garden has been recognised as an International Camellia Garden of Excellence.
The property also has Albariño vineyards and a winery. Today, it welcomes visitors and provides a setting for a variety of activities and events.
