Rock Art Archaeological Park of Campo Lameiro

We suggest going for a nice walk along the various petroglyph routes in the municipality of Campo Lameiro. The park has nine stops, each with a mural on living rock in which our ancestors carved hunting scenes, mysterious labyrinths, weapons, and other less common motifs.

Castrolandín

Castrolandín is a fortified settlement dating back to the Iron Age and inhabited by the end of the Castro culture. It was built in the early 2nd century BC and abandoned in the late 1st century AD, never to be occupied again. It has an information centre located in the historic quarter of the town of Cuntis.

Lacón con grelos

The Lacón con Grelos Festival in Cuntis is more than the promotion of a food product. Lacón, a typical Galician product, consists of salt cured pork shoulder, while grelos, turnip tops, are very important in Galician gastronomic culture. Moreover, grelos are registered under the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI).

Bermaña Bridge

A granite-masonry bridge dating back to Roman times. This bridge, located on the Portuguese Way to Santiago de Compostela, is one of the most beautiful spots in the town of Caldas de Reis.

Botanical Garden-Park and Carballeira in Caldas de ReisThis area has been declared as a Picturesque Site and Historic Garden. Today, its collection consist of a selection of living plants identified and registered under scientific criteria and methods. It has also been classified as a Site of Cultural Interest by the Xunta de Galicia (Galicia’s regional government). Apart from its nature richness, it is also used as a meeting point for a variety of events and for hosting PortAmérica music festival.

Segade Waterfall

Enjoy a walk along the River Umia and finish your route with the spectacular views to the waterfall. At the foot of the waterfall you can find the remains of a hydroelectric station known as A Fábrica da Luz. This is a circular route that starts in A Carballeira in Caldas de Reis and takes approximately 3 hours to complete.
