Fiestas en Rías Baixas

Vigo

We are now in the economic and social hub of As Rías Baixas and one of the most populated areas in Galicia. In the region of Vigo, a perfect combination of breath-taking landscapes, valuable monuments and centuries-old traditions, you can live unforgettable experiences.

It is a very heterogeneous area. The fusion between the sea and the mountains makes it an ideal place to suit everyone’s tastes. Its coastline offers us a good number of beautiful beaches, some are protected from the waves thanks to the rías, and others are wild and open sea beaches, suitable for the practice of water sports.

From the top of the hills of O Galiñeiro, Aloia or Penide you can enjoy stunning views over the rías of Vigo, Baiona, Pontevedra and Arousa. In its inland part, you can walk along the paths of the banks of the rivers Verdugo and Miñor, with great environmental interest.

Vigo is an important cultural city, since it boasts a large network of museums and open-air monuments. And the towns of Baiona and Redondela round off an important historic and artistic heritage.

The Soutomaior Castle and its International Camellia Garden of Excellence as well as the enigmatic San Simón Island, which has been surrounded by legends for several centuries, deserve special mention. The main attraction of this unforgettable experience are the Cíes Islands and its impressive Rodas Beach, famous all over Europe.
