"Hunger for Experiences" can reach its peak with the grand prize of the most important international film festivals linked to tourism: the World’s Best Tourism Film. The Deputación de Pontevedra's film, produced by Esmerarte Industrias Creativas, is nominated for this award granted by the CIFFT (Committee of Tourism Film Festivals), and on this occasion it is the people's vote that counts. "Hunger for Experiences", the official video for the tourism campaign of the Deputación de Pontevedra and Turismo Rías Baixas in 2019, is competing for the CIFFT People's Choice Award together with 29 other films from 16 countries, including Portugal, France, Denmark, Norway, Croatia, Serbia, Chile, South Africa, Japan and Myanmar. The voting period will remain open until October 25th. Now, the video that shows the landscapes of As Rías Baixas and that pays tribute to the producers of the province is third in the ranking list, a very good position.
A successful film
The Deputación's film has been shown at major events and festivals of the tourism film circuit in the last few months and has won nine international awards. Thus, it has been awarded prizes at Fitur 2020, at the Golden City Gate in Berlin, the New York Festivals TV and Film Awards, the International Tourism Film Festival in Bulgaria, the International Tourism Festival in Riga, the Us International Film & Video Festival in Los Angeles, the SilaFest in Serbia and the Terres Festival in Tortosa.
The local cuisine and the landscapes of As Rías Baixas, our producers, cooks, women and men of the sea and of the countryside have appeared on the screens of these film festivals and have received the highest awards in the categories of Tourism Product and Gastronomy Tourism.
