Pazo de Oca
Its origins date back to the 12th and 13th centuries and it is perhaps the most representative example of typical Galician manor house architecture – a noteworthy site both for its architecture and botany. It is commonly known as the Galician Versailles and it was declared a Historical-Artistic Monument, as it is a faithful reflection of the society of that time.
The complex is divided into three main areas. The church-chapel has two towers attached to the palace by a spacious row of balconies in the Baroque style. In the palace, Baroque too, a rectangular tower stands out with merlons and several coats of arms. The gardens are composed of hedges, balustrades and bridges, and contain two large ponds with a peculiar isle sculpted in stone in the shape of a boat. The house began as the property of the Suero de Oca family, after which ownership passed to the Neiras, followed by the Gayosos and then the house of Camarasa. Now it is the property of the Duque de Segorbe.

Nevertheless, the restauration and extension of the complex does not truly begin until the 18 century, specially its first half. It was then when some of the main works that gave the palace and its gardens its actual appearance were carried out, fully transforming the former fortress into the magnificent manor house that stands there today.- Propiedad: Private
