Sierra de A Groba

Native aquatic flora and fauna Particularly notable are the Bosca's newt (Triturus boscai); marbled newt (Triturus marmoratus); Spanish spadefoot toad; natterjack toad; Perez's frog, marsh frog, common frog, and European tree frog; lizard; Bedriaga's skink; snake; viper; trout; and a variety of dragonflies. The primitive arboreal vegetation has now been relegated to small enclaves, although you can still see small patches of carballos and black oaks, cork oaks, as well as a lesser number of birch, arbutus and European wild pear trees.
