The feast of Saint Telmo is celebrated across the entire city of Tui (one of the seven cities of the Old Kingdom of Galicia) during the first weekend after Easter Sunday. Both the old town, with panoramic views over the Minho River, and the modern area outside the walls are the location of these festivities that perfectly represent Galicia.
Neighbours and visitors alike are welcome to enjoy the many events planned for the feast, including a folklore festival, the traditional procession of San Telmo, a horse fair, activities for theatre enthusiasts, etc.

Features
Origin and history Saint Telmo was a Dominican friar and a renowned preacher who is said to have performed miracles. He became the patron saint of mariners after his beatification. The feast of Saint Telmo is still celebrated every Easter Monday almost eight centuries after his death.
