Features
Native terrestrial flora and fauna Flora is mainly composed of oaks, even along the riverbanks (which usually have other species like alders and willows). They do not grown continuously, and the alder buckthorn, common hawthorn, holly, butcher's-broom, laurel, birch, etc. also grow in the middle section of the river. Stagnant water resulted from some mini power plants has caused a change in vegetation and the introduction of some non-native species that are typical of stagnant water.Fauna includes birds like the common kingfisher, European dipper, common sandpiper, long-tailed tit, and wagtail. Located in It flows through the municipalities of Forcarei, A Lama, Ponte Caldelas and Soutomaior. It ends in Pontesampaio, in the municipality of Pontevedra.
