Jardines del Pazo Quinteiro da Cruz
The gardens of Pazo Quinteiro da Cruz cover an area of 7.5 hectares, which include a collection of more than 1800 different species of camellias. They also contain many varieties of exotic trees of great botanical interest. Apart from the gardens, there are vineyards used for the production of a type of Albariño wine, which is made in a small winery next to the site.
The gardens are available for visiting and offer views of the 18th-century traditional manor house and the opportunity to tour some of the spaces, such as the old stables, which today are reception halls. There are also two hórreos (traditional raised granaries) and a cruceiro (stone cross) from the 18th century, as well as a dovecote, a church and decorative fountains. The site was awarded the status of Camellia Garden of Excellence by the International Camellia Society.
