Features
Origin and history The grapevines that will later produce quality wines made with the caíña and albariña grapes are cultivated on the riverbanks of Barro. The Wine Festival began in 1980, to celebrate this activity. Itineraries and main events during its celebration On the eve of the festivities there are preliminary wine tastings (white and red), for the harvesters. An expert panel performs the final wine tasting on Sunday. On Sunday, the most important day of the festival, visitors are invited to enjoy sardines with cornbread (sometimes "empanada") and wine free of charge. The wine can also be sampled from a huge wineskin or purchased at a fair price, and enjoyed accompanied by a generous portion of octopus. A number of sports and musical events also take place during the festivities.- Descripción del entorno: Urban
