Estuario de A Ramallosa
- Nigrán
- Baiona
The A Ramallosa nature reserve integrates different ecosystems such as marshlands, the Ladeira dune system, Baiona cove, and the Estelas Islands. At low tide and dusk, it is a very beautiful sight: the reeds gleam as cormorants and anatidae soar over the marshland, and the river water laps into the sea. At this time, the main species found in these waters - for example the European eel, European seabass, and some salmon - swim aimlessly between the ría and A Ramallosa bridge, making it a great place for fishermen

Features
Native aquatic flora and fauna The intertidal plain offers a rich meadow (Zostera) where many marine animal larvae develop, as well as important bivalve beds for cockles (Cardium edule) Native terrestrial flora and fauna The waters of the River Miñor and other minor streams - mainly from the O Galiñeiro mountain range - flow into a wide riverbank that still shows evidence of an extensive rainforest from long ago. Before the marine influence becomes too intense, small reed warblers can also be spotted. A mossy substrate where reeds predominate gives rise to a community of birds. A large number of waders feed here during low tide periods- Description of the surroundings: River
