Cotorredondo Natural Park is a nature reserve whose wealth is concentrated around Castiñeiras lake. It has several areas for recreation and leisure, as well as trails to enjoy the natural surroundings.
Its northern side belongs to Marín, whereas the southern one belongs to Vilaboa, with an average elevation of 500 metres.

Features
Native aquatic flora and fauna Riverbank vegetation, reeds, and several species of wild duck and various amphibians such as the gold-striped salamander. Native terrestrial flora and fauna Indigenous terrestrial flora: repopulations of birch, sorbus, English oak, and chestnut trees. Indigenous terrestrial fauna: wild horses; birds such as robin, finch, coal tit, and birds of prey such as goshawk, sparrow hawk, and common buzzard. Mammals such as squirrels are frequent visitors.
