Isla de Arousa
This island is located in the centre of the estuary of Arousa and it is connected to the mainland by a 2 km-long bridge of 7 km2. The coastline stretches for some 36 km, eleven of which are beaches of fine white sand and crystal clear waters, such as Area da Secada, O Bao, Camaxe, Xastelas or Sualaxe. Some places of interest are the lighthouse, the island of Areoso and the natural park of Carreirón. There are five harbours, with Xufre being the most important. Nature is all around and can be enjoyed anywhere in the island: flora, fauna, water, rocks, landscape… all of them create a small paradise by the sea.
