Casa del Barón (Casa Goda)
The Pazo Casa do Barón is in the old quarter of Pontevedra. It is currently a four-star hotel with 47 rooms, and belongs to Red de Paradores Nacionales. Belonged to the Counts of Maceda and was the former Pazo of the Barón de Casa Goda. The building is a 16th and 17th-century Renaissance pazo, and has a striking neoclassical front. Inside there are a great many distinguishing and singular details along with furnishings that speak of the venue’s noble lineage. Of particular note are the beautiful stone steps that lead you to the cosy rooms. It has formed part of the Red Nacional de Paradores since 1955, making it the first Parador of the Galician region
