Bodegas Vilarvín
The area in which Adegas Valtea is set has a special microclimate, which means that the grapes reach the appropriate degree of ripeness to make some high quality wines. The care taken over the old vines on the plantation which, in a manner, limit production, is accompanied by technology in the processing inside the wine cellar where the selection of grapes is the first step in achieving the best quality of wine. This wine cellar also takes care over the bottling with the latest advanements in wine producing. Practically all the vines used for making Adegas Valtea wines are from the estate, whose soils are wholly for Albariño grape. On the banks of the Miño River, Adegas Valtea vines grow on an uneven terrain, with a slight slope formed by genuine steps or balconies hanging over the basin of the Miño. This orography and orientation make it possible for the most perfect ripening of the grapes in the area. This wine cellar received several awards, such as: IS0 22000 Certificate for food safety, 9000 for quality, 14000 for environmental management and the Galicia Quality award
