Fiesta del vino de O Condado de Tea
This festival was first held in 1959 and it has been successfully running every year since then. It starts on a Friday in the fortress of Salvaterra do Miño, which has been declared a Site of Cultural Interest, and on Saturday there are exhibitions of paintings, pottery, crafts, etc. There are also sporting events and music performances. Folklore groups perform on Sunday, which is also when the members of the festival confraternity are selected and the ‘Delicious Wines of the Year’ awards are presented. Other highlights include the festival speech and different food stands full of typical products from the region.
