Cementerio de Santa Mariña de Dozo

This cemetery of the village of Cambados, one of the most beautiful and eye-catching of Galicia, is located in Monte da Pastora. It was declared a Historical Artistic Monument and included in the Association of Significant Cemeteries of Europe’s catalogue.
There are also the remains of an old gothic temple from the 15th century, of which we can still see the carved arches, decorated with sculptures of scenes of the Bible. Out of this representations, one the most eye-catching is the one with the seven deadly sins.
Even though there are some tombs inside the ruins of the old temple, most of the tombstones are located around the Gothic building. Some of the people that can be located in this cemetery are members of the family that owns the Pazo de Bazán. In addition, the wife and son of the illustrious writer Ramón María del Valle-Inclán are also buried there.
